Spring has sprung and there are many great things “popping” up here at Little Ones!
Summer Curriculum
Along with all of the water play and outside activities we usually have during the summer months, we will be continuing with our academic program to enhance all of the wonderful things that your child has learned throughout the year. Chapel will be held every Thursday with the emphasis on God’s love for us and how we can share it with each other.
Summer Clothes
With the warm weather quickly approaching we will soon be using our water tables to help keep us cool. Please make sure that your child has an extra change of summer clothes in his cubby so he may change if necessary. Sandals are a vital part of everyone’s summer wardrobe; however, here at Little Ones, the only sandals we allow are the type with straps around the heel. No flip flops please!! This is such an important safety issue! Crocs are not recommended as they are bulky and fall off easily creating a tripping hazard. We feel we can prevent many accidents by wearing only sandals with straps. Sunscreen is another must for a fun filled summer. Please liberally apply to your child before they come to school as it is no longer possible for us to apply it without a doctor’s note. Thank you!
Teacher Appreciation Week
We will be celebrating our Teacher Appreciation Week the week of May 7th-11th We know how much you love and appreciate your child’s teacher and this is the perfect opportunity for you to show them. Little Ones has the most loving, dedicated staff around who have all been working many years for Little Ones, so let’s show them how much we appreciate their hard work!

Pre-K Graduation
Can you believe that it is almost here? Our Little Ones Pre-K Graduation will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. in the church auditorium. This is for those children leaving in the fall for T-K or Kindergarten. Your Pre-K student will need to be here at 6:45 p.m. Please invite your family and friends for this most auspicious occasion. Cameras and video recorders are highly recommended!
School Closures
We will be closed on Monday, May 28 th in observance of Memorial Day and Tuesday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day. Enjoy your days off!!
Vacation Sign-Ups
You will see our Vacation Days sign-up sheet in the foyer. Please sign your child up as soon as you know what your summer plans are. This not only ensures you receive your vacation credit but also helps us staff accordingly.
Book Orders
Please check out the book order forms in your child’s cubby. Books make wonderful gifts and no home library can ever have too many children's books! We earn new books for our school with your orders. Please return order forms by Friday, May 19th or order online using our school code: GV2NB

A Mother’s Prayer
Dear Lord,
It’s such a hectic day,
With little time to stop and pray.
For life’s been anything but calm,
Since You called me to be a mom-
Running errands, matching socks,
Building dreams with stacking blocks.
Cooking, cleaning and finding shoes,
And other things that children lose.
Fitting lids on bottled bugs,
wiping tears and giving hugs.
A stack of last week’s mail to read-
So where’s the quiet time I need?
Yet when I steal a moment, Lord,
Just at the sink or ironing board,
To ask the blessing of your Grace,
I see then in my small one’s face.
That you have blessed me all the while,
As I stoop to kiss THAT precious smile!
